St. Jerome’s Takes Glamping To A Whole New Level
It’s safe to say that Australia is home to some of the creepiest (and deadliest) creatures. Box jellyfish? Wolf spiders? Eastern and Western brown snakes? Yeah, we’ll pass.
We applaud those who dare step foot on the continent. Even more, we are astounded by anyone who is bold enough to venture out of the city and into the wild. Do people actually camp in Australlia? According to Google, the answer is yes.
In our imagination the people that do this are seasoned wilderness explorers. So, if you’re not comfortable with pitching a tent in the outback and calling it good then how can you enjoy the great outdoors? According to our research, St. Jerome’s.

This hotel is strictly glamping, but it’s a little different from traditional glamping sites. St. Jerome’s is located on top of a high rise, in the middle of downtown Melbourne. Perfect for those who want to experience the outdoors, without really going out into the wild.
The property has 21 canvas tents on its rooftop, each providing the luxury amenities expected from a hotel. Queen sized beds, premium linens, a split system AC, luxe robes, and an esky stocked with complimentary beer, cider and water. Not to mention the breathtaking views of the city.

During your stay, you’ll also have access to a load of different perks and accommodations. Each morning during your stay, you’ll receive complimentary breakfast, coffee, and tea. If you’re visiting on the weekend, you can participate in a guided morning meditation class and further your relaxation in the sauna afterwards.
Your day will most likely consist of exploring the city, which can be done by renting a bike from the general store. During your downtime you can play board and lawn games, just like you would if you were actually camping in the woods!
Sweet treats are available in the late afternoon, followed by a complimentary cocktail during happy hour. If you’re still having cravings, you can get gelato delivered to your tent. Don’t forget to take advantage of your complimentary game of bowling at Strike and some T2 sleepy time tea. A perfect ending to a perfect day.
