You Need To Stay At This Hotel Inside A Giant Crane
Have you ever found yourself staying at a hotel and thinking to yourself, “Why am I paying $500 a night for this boring a** room?” High count linens and fancy soaps are great, but also so basic. Well how does staying at a hotel inside a giant crane that grazes the Amsterdam skyline sound? Amazing.
Crane Hotel Faralda is settled on the banks of the IJ river and stands 165 feet tall. Five years ago the old shipping crane had been abandoned and deteriorating until some brave souls decided to fix it up. Now the hotel offers 3 suites that are almost as exclusive as a Birkin Bag.

Each suite has a different aesthetic and an intriguing name to match: Free spirit, secret, and mystique. On the first floor of your room (yes they’re two stories) you’ll find a spacious living area with a private restroom. Upstairs is where your bed resides in addition to a seriously luxe deep soaking tub and rainfall shower.
As we are sure you have figured out, each room offers some breathtaking views of Amsterdam. But you don’t just have to enjoy these from the comfort of your room. If you please to take a dip, you can warm up in the hotel’s private hot tub, while gazing at the sun sinking below the river. If getting wet isn’t your thing, you can spend a romantic night hanging out on the panorama lounge. We’ve heard some famous DJ’s like to throw private parties there…
