Hicksville Is Easily The Cutest Trailer Park We’ve Ever Seen
There’s not many reasons to visit the desert. It’s hot, there’s a lot of things that can hurt you, and the people that live there have a bad (but usually inaccurate) rap. But Hicksville gives us a glimmer of hope that there is something worth checking out in Joshua tree besides a bunch of rocks.
Hicksville is a small oasis of 10 trailers in the middle of the vast desert of Joshua Tree, each one with a different theme. There is no rhyme or reason to the themes of the trailers, but we can assure you they’re adorable. For example, you can take a crack at tracking down alien life in the Integra-trailer, or sleep inside what some describe as a genie bottle in the Fifi trailer.

Being in the desert means there’s not much to do, which is why Hicksville offers its guests so many fun things to keep themselves entertained. Some of the main highlights include a saltwater pool, rooftop jacuzzi, archery & BB gun range, corn hole, darts, mini golf, a doggie park (heck yeah they’re dog friendly), and a tipi with a fire pit that’s great for those nights when you want to go on a spiritual journey. Drinking is of course encouraged, but note that it’s BYOB. Fret not, mini fridges are included in every camper.

All joking aside, there actually is some cool stuff to check out in Joshua Tree during your stay. Hicksville recommends checking out Pappy and Harriets to enjoys amazing food and killer live entertainment from some great bands. If you want to get in tune with yourself and possibly aliens, then you need to check out the Integratron for a sound bath. The Noah Purifoy Art Complex offers an array of exhibits that will make a perfect edition to any art connoisseur’s Instagram feed. Mother nature of course can not be forgotten! Joshua Tree National Park is an obvious must see, as well as stargazing under a blanket of stars when the sun goes down. From the comfort of Hicksville of course.
